Avison Young appoints three principals in Ontario

Avison Young, a Toronto-headquartered commercial real estate services firm, has appointed three new principals in its Ontario offices: Nolan Adkin, Adrian Fitz-Gerald, and Shannon Sawicky.

The trio are among the 18 global team members comprising Avison Young’s 2025 principal class.

Nolan Adkin is based in London, ON and has been with Avison Young since 2020, when he joined the firm as a sales representative. A licensed commercial real estate broker, Adkin advises on industrial, office, retail, and investment properties in the London, Windsor and Sarnia corridors.

Adrian Fitz-Gerald is based in Toronto, having joined the firm in 2022 as national director for human resources. He leads the HR function in Canada, overseeing human capital strategies and partnerships.

Fitz-Gerald has more than 25 years of experience in HR and business development. He was previously national director for HR operations at Yellow Pages and national director for HR and labour relations at G4S Solutions.

Shannon Sawicky is based in Toronto and joined Avison Young in 2016 as a junior valuation consultant. She was promoted to senior valuation consultant in 2021 and director for valuation and advisory services in 2024.

Sawicky has valuation expertise across all commercial asset classes in Canada – appearing as an expert witness in various market rent arbitrations.
