BDO opens cybersecurity and digital innovation centre in Toronto

BDO Canada, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has opened a cybersecurity and digital innovation centre in Toronto.
The newly launched security operations centre (SOC) will provide 24/7 network security monitoring and response services for BDO clients, as well as provide an innovation hub for clients to trial new technologies and learn secure innovation through various events, executive briefings, and workshops.
The Toronto hub is the latest addition to BDO’s network of centres dedicated to cybersecurity strategy and operations – which are currently present in eight countries.
“Through this centre, our highly experienced cybersecurity team is ready to help companies tackle threats head-on, 24/7, while fostering a secure environment for digital transformation and enabling the future of business innovation,” said Rocco Galletto, head of the cybersecurity practices at BDO Canada and BDO Global.
The Toronto SOC arrives as the number of cybersecurity incidents continue to rise and business leaders look to integrate cutting edge technologies such as generative AI. According to a recent BDO survey, 84% of leaders said their survival hinges on accelerating technological innovation, but nearly half were not prioritizing cybersecurity measures.
“We're thrilled to launch BDO's new Cybersecurity and Digital Innovation Centre, a dynamic space where clients can boost their defences and explore innovation with confidence,” said Bruno Suppa, CEO of BDO Canada. “This centre is part of BDO's global cybersecurity network, spanning multiple countries, bringing collective expertise and proactive insights to every engagement.”
BDO Canada is headquartered in Toronto and has approximately 5,000 employees across 100 offices nationwide.
