GHD opens second Montreal location

GHD, a Sydney, Australia-headquartered engineering consulting firm, has opened its second Montreal location with a new downtown office.
Located on the 38th floor of Place Ville Marie, the 10,000 square foot space is part of GHD’s growth strategy for Quebec. The office features 80 adjustable workstations, a 25-seat conference room, multiple meeting rooms, and various collaborative zones.
The office is led by Isabel Piraux, general manager for Eastern Canada.
“Opening this new office at Place Ville Marie is a key step in our efforts to attract new talent,” Piraux said. “We’re proud to be a company grounded in Québec and actively involved in delivering projects that shape the region’s future and broaden how we support our clients.”
GHD has nearly 450 employees in Quebec and offices in Montreal, Brossard, Laval, and Quebec City.
The Australian firm entered the Quebec market in 2015 via the acquisition of engineering consultancy Inspec-Sol.
GHD’s project work in the province includes major infrastructure and energy projects such as Autoroute 30, the Highway 25 Bridge, Maison Radio-Canada, and the Romaine Hydroelectric Complex.
“This new office reflects our ongoing commitment to growth in Québec,” said Steve Lécuyer, executive general manager for GHD Canada. “It’s a strategic opportunity to bring our expertise closer to local priorities, while creating a hub for technical innovation.”
The new Montreal office will provide services in geotechnical engineering, environmental, materials technology, building science, transportation, water, and energy.
Founded in 1928, GHD has 12,000 professionals across 160 offices on five continents.
