CIMA+ acquires urban planning firm B&A

CIMA+, a Laval, QC-headquartered engineering consulting firm, has acquired B&A, a Calgary-based urban planning firm.

Founded in 1989, B&A has more than 45 employees across offices in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. The firm has practices in urban planning, design, engagement, sustainability, visualization, communications, and land economics.

B&A has worked on commercial, residential, and energy projects across North America.

The acquisition will expand CIMA+’s presence in Western Canada and add a new practice in urban planning.

CIMA+ was founded in 1990 and has more than 3,400 people across 40 offices in Canada. The firm provides consulting engineering services in energy and resources, infrastructure, transportation, buildings, project management, operational and digital technologies, and earth and environment.
