Baker Tilly Canada appoints Terri Holowath as chair

Baker Tilly Canada, a national co-operative network of independent accounting and consulting firms, in January appointed Terri Holowath as chair of its board of directors.
Holowath succeeded Scott Dupuis, who currently serves as managing partner of Baker Tilly Windsor and as a board member with Baker Tilly Global.
Holowath has been with Baker Tilly Catalyst since 1992, and has served as managing partner of the firm since 2010. Catalyst, a Calgary-based accountancy, joined the Baker Tilly Network in 2021.
Holowath has over 30 years of professional services experience, with expertise in business advisory, operational performance reviews, process improvement, and succession planning services.
“I am deeply honoured to assume the role of chair for Baker Tilly in Canada,” Holowath said. “It is an extraordinary time for our profession and Baker Tilly. With a focus on technology and digital transformation, proactive client-centric services and innovative talent and culture strategies, we are driving initiatives that align with our growth objectives and shared ambitions.”
Baker Tilly Canada has more than 1,600 people across 60+ offices nationwide. The co-operative’s member firms deliver accounting, audit, tax, and consulting services to a wide range of industries.
The Baker Tilly International network has 43,000 people across 658 offices in 141 countries and territories.
“Terri’s guidance will be instrumental as we roll out a comprehensive new strategy across the country, driving an exceptional experience for our clients and our people, while helping them navigate the complexities of an evolving world,” said Ben Lloyd, CEO of Baker Tilly Canada.
