Dillon Consulting acquires Halifax-based FBM

Dillon Consulting, a national engineering and environmental consulting firm, has acquired FBM Architecture, a Halifax-based architecture and design firm.

Founded in 1917, FBM provides services in architecture, interior design, and planning for projects in residential, commercial, healthcare, and government. The firm has more than 55 full-time employees.

FBM will continue to operate separately as FBM Architecture Ltd.

Dillon was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Toronto. The employee-owned firm has more than 1,100 people across 25 offices nationwide.

Dillon advises on planning, management, engineering, and environmental science – with services related to building and improving facilities and infrastructure, environmental protection, and community development.

The firm’s acquisitions in the last five years include Internat Energy Solutions, Counterpoint Engineering, and F.C. O’Neill, Scriven & Assoc’s.
