KPMG Canada partners with SecurityScorecard

KPMG Canada has entered into a strategic agreement with SecurityScorecard, a New York-based provider of cybersecurity ratings and supply chain detection and response (SCDR) solutions.

The agreement will bring the SecurityScorecard Max solution to the Canadian market, with a focus on critical sectors such as government, financial services, and energy.

Max is an SCDR solution that will be offered by KPMG as a managed service. Max harnesses SecurityScorecard’s expertise in collecting and analyzing cybersecurity data to provide proactive threat hunting, continuous monitoring, and rapid incident response across vendors and suppliers.

SCDR solutions identify vulnerabilities across the supplier network – which is critical as cybercriminals often aim to compromise larger entities via their less secure vendors.

SecurityScorecard was founded in 2013 and has over 500 employees. The firm’s patented cybersecurity rating technology is used by over 25,000 organizations for self-monitoring, third-party risk management, board reporting, and cyber insurance underwriting.

SecurityScorecard is backed by investors such as Sequoia Capital and Riverwood Capital.
