Former Globe and Mail editor Edward Greenspon joins Deloitte as executive advisor

Edward Greenspon, former editor-in-chief of The Globe and Mail, has joined Deloitte Canada as an executive advisor.
Based in Toronto, Greenspon will also serve as co-chair of the consulting firm’s Future of Canada Centre, which explores important national issues to help drive Canadian growth and competitiveness.
Greenspon brings more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of journalism and public policy. He most recently spent eight years as president and CEO of the Public Policy Forum, a nonprofit Canadian think tank for public-private dialogue.
Before that, he was editor-at-large for Canada at Bloomberg News and global managing editor for energy, environment, and commodities.
Between 1986 and 2009, Greenspon worked at the Globe and Mail newspaper, serving as managing editor of the Report on Business before being elevated to Ottawa bureau chief and then editor-and-chief between 2002 and 2009.
He has a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Carleton University.
