EY Canada has appointed François Tellier as managing partner for Eastern Canada and office managing partner for Montreal, effective July 1, 2024.

Tellier succeeds Anne-Marie Hubert, who is retiring after spending more than 35 years with the Big Four accounting and consulting firm. Hubert has served as Eastern Canada leader since 2015.

“Anne-Marie has acted as a tremendous driving force, bringing together diverse stakeholders to expedite solutions that confront Canada's most pressing challenges, enhancing our nation's prominence and impact in the international arena,” Tellier said. “I’m honoured to follow in her footsteps, continuing to foster growth — not just for our clients, but also for our talented team and community at large.”

Tellier has been at EY’s Montreal office for more than 30 years, holding leadership positions primarily in the strategy and transactions group. He served as leader of EY Canada’s growth markets practice, providing services to high-growth organizations in the private and public sectors, and as national director of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award program.
