RAM Consulting acquires Pacific Safety
RAM Consulting, a Vancouver-based project delivery and engineering firm, has acquired Pacific Safety, a Burnaby-based safety consulting firm.
Founded in 1998, Pacific Safety’s occupational health and safety (OHS) professionals provide consulting and field services to help clients reduce risk, eliminate harm, and increase wellness in the workplace.
The firm’s consulting division has offerings in safety management system development, due diligence audits, hazard prevention program development, and Covid-19 risk assessments and safety implementation plans, among other areas.
Pacific Safety’s field services division has offerings in site audits and inspections, contractor safety management, confined spaces assessments, and safe work method statements, among others.
The consultancy has a team of nine professionals, according to its website.RAM’s acquisition of Pacific Safety will enhance its capabilities, expand its service portfolio, and solidify its position as a preferred provider of full-service project delivery services across North America, the firm said in a press release.
The deal will specifically bolster RAM’s portfolio in aviation transportation by adding Pacific Safety’s expertise in airside operations, including overseeing contractor project safety at Vancouver Airport. It will also strengthen RAM’s ability to provide OHS services for clients.

Founded in 2007, RAM works on all aspects of project delivery, including multi-disciplinary engineering, project and construction management, and quality and safety management. The firm manages large Canadian infrastructure projects, from major highways to pipelines.
RAM has domain expertise across transportation, energy, utilities, facilities, and marine. The firm has more than 380 employees, according to LinkedIn, and offices in British Columbia, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories.
RAM in 2021 acquired Encepta Corp., an engineering firm specializing in telecoms, and Horizon Engineering, a geotechnical consulting specialist.
