MNP buys Vancouver accountancy Strategex

MNP, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Strategex, a Vancouver-based accounting and consulting firm.

Founded in 2002, Strategex provides services in accounting and assurance, business advisory, Canadian and US income tax, estate planning, and specialized entertainment and film industry services. The firm’s advisory services include succession planning, business expansion, financing, exit strategies, third-party negotiations, and divorce-related tax support.

MNP’s acquisition of Strategex will add partners Lakh Multani, Conrad Yen, and Robert Monteverde, and a team of 15 staff members. The Strategex team will remain at their present location at 900 West Hastings Street and work closely with MNP’s existing teams in Vancouver.

MNP in in August 2022 welcomed three partners from Vancouver-based Harbourside CPA, and in December acquired The Bowra Group, a boutique restructuring consultancy. The firm last month added two partners from Johnsen Archer CPAs to its Surrey office.
