Deltek to acquire Calgary-based enterprise software firm Replicon

Deltek, a US company specializing in enterprise software for project-based businesses, has agreed to acquire Replicon, a Calgary-based provider of knowledge workforce management solutions.

Founded in 1996, Replicon focuses on time tracking software for project and services-centric organizations – including some of the largest professional services firms in the world.

More than 2,500 customers use the firm’s software for unified project time tracking, project billing, time and attendance, compliance, professional services automation, and automated time entry. Replicon has more than 700 employees across Canada, the US, UK, India, and Australia.

Deltek’s acquisition of Replicon will strengthen its portfolio of enterprise software and information solutions for project-based organizations. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks, pending regulatory approval.

Deltek provides software, advisory, and maintenance solutions and services to accounting, consulting, engineering, and technology firms, as well as government contractors. The firm has offerings covering ERP, project portfolio management, human capital management, business development, manufacturing, and payments, among other areas.

The Herndon, VA-headquartered company’s software is used by 30,000 organizations globally. Deltek has a team of over 3,000 employees.
