Deloitte Canada last week announced the opening of its new BC headquarters – named “Deloitte Summit.”

Located at 410 West Georgia Street in Vancouver’s innovation corridor, Deloitte Summit features imposing stacked-cube architecture the accountancy says is styled after the local natural landscape and a Japanese lantern.

The state-of-the-art, 334,000-square-foot building is composed of a series of four-story cubes spiraling around a central concrete core spanning 24 floors, and incorporates a focus on collaborative work and sustainability.

To drive collaboration and productivity, the building has 18 different types of workspaces, moveable furniture and walls, and no private offices.

Deloitte Summit is targeting a LEED Gold certification, with 100% of its heat and power coming from renewable energy. The building also has rainwater recycling, waste management processes, and smart sensor-enabled energy saving.

“Deloitte Summit is our response to the changing workplace and demonstrates how business, government and community can collaborate under one roof to spark meaningful change,” said Anthony Viel, CEO of Deloitte Canada. “Our vision to create the workplace of the future began many years ago, and Deloitte Summit is a culmination of the ideas, passion, and forward-thinking approach. Deloitte Summit is where solutions come to life to the benefit of business, the community, and our country.”

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim added, “Projects like Deloitte Summit represent the future of Vancouver’s downtown core; beautiful spaces that can energize our city-centre by bringing together creativity, sustainability, economic activity, and innovation.”
