Norma MacDonald joins Engine Digital as VP of design
Norma MacDonald, an experienced design professional, has joined digital consultancy Engine Digital as VP of design.
In her new role, MacDonald will lead and grow the agency’s design group and guide design operations. She will also join Engine Digital’s leadership team.
MacDonald spent the last seven years at Fjord (part of Accenture Song), where she was latterly group visual design director. She led digital transformation and design engagements for clients including BMO, Tim Hortons, and Canadian Tire.
Before joining Fjord’s Toronto office as a founding member, MacDonald was a design lead at Tribal Worldwide, a senior art director at SapientNitro, and an art director at Henderson Bas.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo and is a graduate of the new media design program at Sheridan College.

MacDonald’s hiring follows the previous expansion of Engine Digital’s Toronto office with the addition of Steven Chabot as managing director and Brian Wong as strategy director, business design.
The firm has offices in Vancouver, Toronto, and New York and provides consulting in brand strategy, customer and user experience, product design and engineering, and analytics and optimization, among other areas. Engine Digital has more than 45 employees, according to LinkedIn.
