Aptum acquires cloud consultancy CloudOps
Aptum, a hybrid multi-cloud managed services and consulting company, has acquired CloudOps, a cloud consulting, managed services, and software company focused on open source, cloud native platforms, networking, and DevOps. The deal, for which financial terms were not disclosed, completed on January 5.
Founded in 2005 and based in Montreal, CloudOps delivers consulting and managed services for cloud migration and DevOps, CloudOps, and DevNetOps transformations. The company has particular expertise working with healthcare industry clients.
CloudOps also has its CloudMC SaaS offering, which enables IT services providers to deliver, operate, and monetize their portfolio of edge-to-cloud services.
The company has more than 50 employees, according to LinkedIn.
Aptum’s acquisition of CloudOps will strengthen its cloud migration and DevOps services. Aptum will retain a separate CloudOps unit while combining select teams with its consulting, support services, and DevOps practices. CloudOps’ headquarters will remain in Montreal.
“We’re excited to add CloudOps’ talented team and its services portfolio to the Aptum family. This strategic move will extend our ability to serve our customers with solutions such as DevOps and Advanced Cloud Migration Services, offering true Hybrid Multi-Cloud solutions and services at different stages of their digital transformation,” said Susan Bowen, CEO and president of Aptum Group.
Aptum provides managed services in private cloud, public cloud, infrastructure-as-a-service, cloud security, and network management. The firm’s technology partners include Azure, AWS, Google, Hypertec Cloud, and Cox Edge.
Aptum also offers consulting services to help clients plan, design, implement and optimize complex IT projects and cloud migrations. The firm primarily serves companies in TMT, utilities, financial services, and healthcare, as well as public sector organizations.
Aptum has 215 employees listed on LinkedIn and is a portfolio company of investment firm Digital Bridge (formerly Colony Capital).
“Aptum has invested heavily in its business assurance and Cloud Advisory and Consulting practice, and we are thrilled to be a part of the organization and to benefit from its global sales, marketing, and support services,” said Ian Rae, founder and CEO of CloudOps, who joins Aptum’s executive leadership team as president and CEO of CloudOps & CloudMC. “We look forward to helping more customers across a wide range of industries to own their own destinies in the clouds unlocking the true value of cloud solutions for their businesses.”
