RSM Canada promotes 11 to partner

RSM Canada, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, announced 11 appointments in its partner class of 2023.

Brandon Braganza (Toronto, consulting) has over a decade of experience in professional services. He specializes in helping finance teams navigate key decisions, inflection points, and disruptive events, including finance visioning and strategy development and execution, finance operating model review, finance technology assessments and roadmap development. Before joining RSM in 2021 Braganza was a senior manager in Deloitte’s accounting operations advisory practice and a senior accountant at KPMG.

Chris Czorny (Toronto, audit) has over 15 years of experience in the public accounting industry. He advises privately held organizations and enterprises within the manufacturing and processing, consumer products, real estate and construction industries and helps business owners report their financial results in both IFRS and ASPE standards. Before joining RSM in 2019, he was a director at PwC and a senior manager at Farnham and Company.

Newton DeNiese (Toronto, consulting) leads the firm’s specialty finance and fintech technical accounting consulting practice for North America, advising lending and other financial service clients on accounting, preparing to go-public, expected credit losses under IFRS, and US GAAP. DeNiese has over 20 years’ experience providing audit and accounting services to clients in the banks and other financial services companies. Prior to joining RSM in 2018, he worked in the audit practices of KPMG and Deloitte.

Sean Foley (Calgary, audit) has more than 14 years of experience and provides financial, audit and consultation services primarily to clients in private equity, hospitality, and energy exploration and services. Before joining RSM he was part of predecessor firm Collins Barrow Calgary.

Mariya Honcharova (Toronto, tax) has more than 12 years of experience in public accounting focusing on advising North American private equity clients in the consumer products and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) industries. She was previously a tax manager at Collins Barrow Toronto and Deloitte.

James Knight (Toronto, consulting) has 15 years of professional services experience and specializes in financial due diligence services for private equity funds, corporate strategic acquirers, and publicly listed companies. Before joining RSM in 2018, he was a director in PwC’s transaction services practice.

Liam Neilson (Toronto, audit) delivers consultation services including financial accounting, audit, and compliance to a variety of financial sector entities. He has over 20 years of experience working with financial institutions including insurance firms, banks, and lenders. Neilson previously held accounting and audit leadership roles at TD and BMO, and was a senior audit manager at Deloitte.

Doron Neuman (Calgary, consulting) has over 13 years of experience providing M&A transaction advisory services to clients primarily in the retail and consumer products, industrial goods, and business services-focused industries. He specializes in financial due diligence, advising private equity and strategic buyers and sellers on key issues and value drivers affecting the purchase price and expected returns of M&A transactions. Before joining RSM in 2019, Neuman was a VP at Houlihan Lokey, a manager in EY’s transaction advisory services practice, and a senior accountant at KPMG.

Bhavin Oza (Toronto, tax) has over 10 years of experience and is part of the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax group. Oza specializes in cross-border M&A transactions and acquisition structuring for private equity funds, public and private companies, and owner-manager businesses. Prior to joining RSM in 2018, he was a tax manager at KPMG and staff accountant at Prentice Yates & Clark.

Cameron Rustad (Calgary, audit) has more than 13 years of experience delivering financial and compliance audit and consultation services to a variety of public and private entities. He advises SaaS, technology research, and software development firms as well as not-for-profit organizations. Rustad was previously a senior manager at Collins Barrow Calgary.

Jamie Zuk (Toronto, audit) has over 12 years of experience providing accounting and audit services to public and private companies in technology, life sciences, and financial services. She was previously a manager at Collins Barrow Toronto and a senior accountant at Deloitte.
