J.S. Held acquires EH&S firm Frostbyte Consulting
J.S. Held, a global consulting firm, has acquired Frostbyte Consulting, a Calgary-based firm focusing on environmental, health, and safety (EH&S).
Founded in 2001, Frostbyte’s 25+ employees work at the intersection of business and the environment. The consultancy provides an array of enterprise IT solutions and services in environment management, safety management, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Frostbyte’s technology partners include Cority, Damstra, Enablon, and Sphera, among others.
The firm works with clients in a wide range of industries, including construction, energy and utilities, oil and gas, mining and metals, and manufacturing.

The transaction builds on J.S. Held’s 2020 acquisition of Examine Construction Consultants, a boutique Montreal firm focusing on construction-related matters, and its 2019 acquisition of Specialized Property Evaluation Control Services, a Langley, BC–based consulting firm specializing in property risk and loss quantification services.
J.S. Held currently has 18 offices across Canada.
