MNP buys Southwestern Ontario accountancy Bailey Kearney Ferguson
MNP, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Bailey Kearney Ferguson, a boutique accountancy based in Wallaceburg, ON.
Led by partners Steve Outridge and Kevin Sabourin, Bailey Kearney Ferguson has been serving clients in Kent and Lambton counties for over 50 years. The firm provides accounting and tax services to agriculture, manufacturing, insurance, non-profit, and municipal sector clients.
As part of the acquisition, Outridge and Sabourin will join MNP as partners, alongside a team of 10 professionals.
The Bailey Kearney Ferguson team will remain at their current office and will work closely with MNP’s existing teams in Southwestern Ontario.
The Calgary-headquartered firm entered the region five years ago and today has locations in Arkona, Clinton, London, Sarnia, Stratford, Strathroy, Windsor, and Woodstock.
"Southwestern Ontario is a prosperous and diverse economy with many vibrant communities stretching across a wide geography," said Bourne. "We initially entered the region with just a handful of offices, nearly five years ago, but have constantly looked for opportunities to further our commitment to the area and are delighted to add Bailey Kearney Ferguson – a firm that shares our values and client-centric approach – into the fast-growing MNP fold.
The move builds on the firm’s 2021 acquisition of Woodstock-based MacAlpine and Company.
"For the past 20 years, together, Kevin and I have focused on ways to continually assist our loyal client base with all their business needs,” Outridge said. “We evaluated the ever-changing business environment and made the decision that joining the MNP family will only strengthen the services that we as partners and our devoted staff can provide.”
Founded in 1958, MNP provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to mid-market clients across Canada. The firm has over 7,000 employees nationwide.
