Improving acquires software consultancy Bit Quill
Improving Enterprises Inc., a Dallas-based IT consulting firm, has acquired Bit Quill, a Vancouver-based data and cloud software development firm.
Founded in 2017, Bit Quill provides back-end software development services to software and technology companies primarily located in tech hubs including San Francisco, Seattle, and Boston.
The firm’s areas of expertise include developer experience; query processing; distributed query execution; data mapping, processing, movement and integration; microservices; and related technologies.
Bit Quill has more than 50 professionals, according to LinkedIn.
Improving’s acquisition of Bit Quill will expand its annualized revenue to more than $250 million and will further grow its presence in the Canadian market. Improving’s Canadian operations span offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Ottawa.
The deal builds on the firm’s February acquisition of YoppWorks, an Ottawa-based digital transformation consultancy and Google Cloud Partner.

Improving provides IT consulting, project, training, and recruiting services to clients primarily in financial services, energy, transportation, and leisure. The firm’s offerings including digital transformation consulting, business intelligence, project and product management, user experience, Microsoft solutions, and application development for cloud, web, and mobile.
