Franca Petrocelli joins BDO Lixar as technology leader and public sector partner
Franca Petrocelli has joined BDO Lixar, a technology consulting practice within BDO Canada, as national technology leader and public sector partner, based in Toronto.
BDO Lixar was formed from the 2020 acquisition of Lixar, an Ottawa-based AI and data consultancy with 200+ employees. The practice today delivers services across AI and data, business applications, cybersecurity, modern workplace, and digital strategy.

Petrocelli is a digital transformation leader who brings more than 25 years of experience delivering large-scale change in the Canadian public sector. She has expertise across the transformation process, from building the case for change to execution, enablement, and benefits realization.
Petrocelli most recently spent three years at Microsoft, where she was a program delivery executive and part of the public sector leadership team. She supported Covid-related cloud and digital projects, including remote work initiatives and communication and collaboration solutions for frontline healthcare workers.
Before that, she held numerous program leadership roles within the Ontario Public Service, including at the education and transportation ministries. Petrocelli was also previously a director in CGI’s consulting practice and a manager in PwC’s advisory practice.
Petrocelli has a bachelor’s degree from York University.
