Hratch Jabrayan joins USC Consulting Group as mining head
Hratch Jabrayan has joined USC Consulting Group, a global operations consultancy, as director of its mining and metals division. He is based in the firm’s Mississauga, ON office.
Jabrayan brings more than 20 years of experience in the mining and security services industries. In his new role at USC, he will oversee the global mining and metals division and will support current and new clients in achieving excellence in execution.
Jabrayan previously spent over seven years at Dundee Precious Metals, where he was a VP and worked across the firm’s Canadian and Armenian operations. His responsibilities included serving as general manager of an underground mine in Kapan, Armenia, where he led a successful operational turnaround. Before that, he was director of administration at the Kapan mine, focusing on health and safety, environment, IT, HR, and security and administration.
Earlier in his career, Jabrayan worked in the security services industry. He spent 10 years at AFI International Group in Milton, ON, where he was latterly national VP for operations and security and was responsible for security and disaster business continuity planning across Canada. Jabrayan was also previously a VP at Corporate Investigation Services, where oversaw security-related operations in Canada with a focus on the mining sector.

USC was founded in 1968 and provides operations management consulting services to clients across manufacturing, oil and gas, chemicals, mining, and life sciences, among other industries. The firm advises on challenges in asset utilization, productivity and quality improvement, supply chain optimization, logistics, and strategic sourcing, among other areas.
USC has more than 160 employees, according to LinkedIn, and offices in Tampa, Florida and Mississauga.
