FTI Consulting hires Denis Reynolds as senior managing director
FTI Consulting has welcomed Denis Reynolds as a senior managing director in its financial services practice within the forensic and litigation consulting segment. He is based in Toronto.
Reynolds brings more than 30 years of consulting experience with a focus on supporting large financial institutions with complex business and regulatory change-driven projects. He has deep expertise advising boards, executive committees, and C-suites on reducing costs, mitigating risk, increasing agility, deploying ERP and cloud technologies, and achieving ESG goals.
“Denis is a proven and transformational leader who analyzes issues through his clients’ eyes and aligns solutions to meet their needs,” said Stella Mendes, a senior managing director and leader of FTI Consulting’s financial services practice. “His appointment not only strengthens our practice, but it also greatly strengthens our ability to provide our clients with practical solutions to the growing number of complex financial challenges they face.”
Reynolds previously spent 32 years at KPMG, most recently as a partner within KPMG Canada’s consulting business. He served as global client lead partner for one of the firm’s largest Canadian financial services clients and also led the national banking finance transformation practice.
Before joining KPMG Canada he spent over 25 years at KPMG UK, advising large financial institutions headquartered in London on projects including turnaround and restructuring, GRC frameworks, and process improvement.
Prior to KPMG, Reynolds spent six years in Deloitte’s Dublin office. He has a master’s degree in economics and business from Trinity College Dublin.
Reynolds said, “I look forward to joining a team of talented and experienced professionals within the Financial Services practice at FTI Consulting. Organizations all over the world are dealing with myriad financial challenges, and our growing team will be able to offer actionable solutions to help clients meet their most pressing needs.”
FTI Consulting in Canada earlier this year promoted Ali Al-Ahmad and Jim Robinson to senior managing director.
The firm has more than 6,900 global employees who provide consulting services across change, risk, and disputes.
