Adam Hayes and John Engbloom join Avison Young's occupier services division
Adam Hayes and John Engbloom have joined the occupier services division of Avison Young as principals. The pair of new hires join the commercial real estate services company from the Calgary office of rival firm Cresa.
In their new roles, Hayes and Engbloom will work with occupier clients on reaching their objectives in office spaces and other corporate facilities. They will collaborate with the various services lines within Avison Young's integrated occupier division, including lease admin, transaction management, facility management, project management, and consulting.
Avison Young’s consulting offering spans real estate strategy, valuation, due diligence, litigation support, and market research, among other areas.
Hayes brings 18 years of experience representing occupiers, with expertise in lease negotiation, M&A-related amalgamation planning, and in-depth financial analysis. He spent the last 18 years at Cresa, where he was latterly a managing principal and broker.
Hayes has a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Victoria and is a licensed associate and broker of record with the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).
Engbloom brings more than 14 years of experience in commercial real estate, with expertise in headlease and sublease negotiation, financial analysis, site selection, and disposition and acquisition strategy. He spent over 14 years at Cresa, where he was latterly a principal. He started his career at CBRE, where he was a research associate.
Engbloom has a bachelor’s degree in geography from The University of Lethbridge and is a licensed associate with RECA.
