Deetken Insight, a Vancouver-based management consulting firm, has hired Dara Frere as a partner based in Victoria.

Frere’s addition will expand the firm’s ability to service public sector clients in the provincial capital.

She has a long track record of providing strategic advice to senior leadership, strategic initiatives, alliance management, strategic vendor management, negotiations, and complex transitions.

Frere most recently served as executive program director for the BC government’s digital vaccine program, and before that was executive program lead for a billion-dollar, multi-year IT procurement contract for the Provincial Health Services Authority.

Before that, Frere was executive program director at Northern Health (BC) and a director of client services at Vancouver Island Health Authority. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years at IBM, latterly serving as a delivery project executive for Health Shared Services BC. She began her career as a business analyst at Telus Enterprise Solutions.
