KPMG Canada buys Workday specialist DayOne Consulting
KPMG Canada has acquired DayOne Consulting, a Montreal-based boutique IT consultancy focusing on Workday software engagements.
Founded in 2019, DayOne helps clients integrate and optimize Workday, a popular cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for finance and human resources. The firm’s team of approximately seven professionals delivers services in project management, implementation support, on-demand support, managed application support, and custom reporting and analytics.
KPMG’s acquisition of DayOne will strengthen the Big Four firm’s Workday practice, which has approximately 62 team members nationwide, as well as expand the firm’s technology consulting offering in Montreal.
“The acquisition of DayOne Consulting demonstrates the firm's commitment to investing in state-of-the-art technology tools to support our clients in their digital transformation," said Benoit Lacoste Bienvenue, managing partner for Quebec at KPMG Canada. "Workday, recognized as one of the most innovative systems on the market, is a natural part of our service offering and we are very proud to welcome the team of experienced professionals from DayOne Consulting to join our growing Management Consulting Services team.”
The transaction follows KPMG's Quebec acquisitions of Lacroix Allaire Héroux Beaudry Chartered Professional Accountants in 2021 and Allard Matte in 2020. The firm earlier this month acquired Fortica, a Quebec City-based cloud cybersecurity firm with a team of more than 20 professionals.
"We are thrilled to join an organization with the stature of KPMG – one that shares the same corporate culture as well as our commitment to providing excellent service to our clients," said Deni Guerrera, founder of DayOne Consulting. "Together, we will be able to provide comprehensive solutions to help companies with not only their Workday implementation but also their overall digital transformation. We look forward to taking this next step and strengthening our ability to always better support our customers."
KPMG Quebec has more than 1,500 employees across six offices in the province, while the wider Canadian firm has more than 10,000 people in 40+ offices providing audit, tax, and consulting services.
