Protiviti promotes Marty Murray to managing director
Protiviti has promoted Toronto-based Marty Murray to managing director. The promotion is part of a wider 52 appointments to managing director and senior director across the consulting firm’s operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
The new managing directors and senior directors span the firm’s practices of internal audit and financial advisory, risk and compliance, technology consulting, and business improvement, as well as its operations function.

Marty Murray has more than 17 years of professional experience in consulting and finance. He joined Protiviti’s Toronto office in 2018 as a director and currently leads the business improvement practice in Canada. In the role, Murray leads a team focused on engagements in business and finance transformation, back-office operations improvement, technology enablement, and operating model design. He also leads Protiviti’s managed business solutions practice in Canada, which leverages the talent resources of parent company Robert Half.
Prior to joining Protiviti, Murray was a senior manager at EY, a senior manager in KPMG’s finance transformation practice, and a consultant in Deloitte’s performance management technologies practice.
Earlier in his career, he was a financial accountant at DuPont and a trade spend analyst at Conagra Brands.
He holds an MBA in strategy and finance from the University of Guelph, as well as a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Guelph and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
