HSO beefs up presence in Canada with CRM Dynamics deal

In its second North American deal this year, HSO has acquired CRM Dynamics, one of Canada’s larger independent firms specialized in the Microsoft Dynamics suite.

With over 900 consultants and technologists across 20+ offices worldwide, HSO is one of the larger consulting firms dedicated to the Microsoft technology stack. The firm (headquartered in Amsterdam) helps clients with designing, building, implementing and running their applications based on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.

When The Carlyle Group (a global private equity group) invested in HSO back in 2019, the two companies already announced they would turn to inorganic means to fuel expansion. Following the previous acquisitions of SAGlobal (January 2021) and AKA Enterprise Solutions (August 2020), HSO has now struck again in the North American market.

The bolt-on of CRM Dynamics adds around 60 consultants to its team in Canada, and deepens its capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics and the commercial domains of sales, marketing, customer service and field service. CRM Dynamics is a premier Microsoft Gold partner and – just like HSO – a member of Microsoft’s elite Inner Circle (firms in this band rank among the top 1% of best performing Microsoft partners worldwide).

Peter ter Maaten, founder and CEO of HSO, said “We are delighted to welcome the CRM Dynamics family to HSO. Their expertise and proven capabilities [over 700 CRM implementations since its inception in 2007] strengthen our capabilities. We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Meanwhile, for Ontario-based CRM Dynamics, the joining of forces will provide the firm with “increased opportunities to serve large customers in Canada” and “more expansive global delivery capabilities across the full Microsoft platform for an end-to-end offering,” said Bill Gardner, Co-CEO of CRM Dynamics.

Looking ahead, more growth and deals can be expected from HSO. “We aim to become the leading global provider of business and digital transformation services leveraging the Microsoft platform,” explained Ter Maaten.
