Levio buys software engineering consultancy Voonyx
Levio, a Quebec City-headquartered technology consulting firm, has acquired Voonyx, a Quebec City-based software engineering consultancy.
Founded in 2010, Voonyx specializes in digital transformation and software development, with expertise in Java, web applications, mobile applications, DevOps, and quality assurance, among other areas.
The company has particular expertise implementing Guidewire, a major insurance software suite with products including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter. The firm also implements EIS, another software package catering to the insurance industry.
Voonyx has more than 120 consultants across offices in Quebec, Montreal, and Boca Raton, Louisiana. The firm has been named one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada (SME category) for the least six years.
Levio’s acquisition of Voonyx will bring the firm’s headcount to more than 1,600 employees. Levio has eight offices across Canada, the US, and Morocco.

Levio has expanded rapidly since its founding eight years ago, being named the second-fastest-growing firm in the 2019 edition of Canadian Business Magazine’s Growth 500 list. The company earlier this year acquired Landry & Associates, a Montreal-based boutique management consultancy, and last year purchased Montreal-based IT consultancies Logimethods and ERP Connex.
