EFI Global adds Ahmad Shahroodi as senior forensic engineer

EFI Global, a Tampa, FL-headquartered forensic engineering and specialty consulting firm, has welcomed Ahmad Shahroodi, PhD, as a senior forensic engineer based in Ottawa.

Shahroodi has experience working as a forensic engineer, project manager, structural designer, and quality control manager for various structural and infrastructure projects. As a forensic expert, he has completed investigations into a variety of structural failures and prepared reports on cause and severity of damage. Shahroodi has particular expertise in concrete inspection and testing.

Shahroodi joins EFI from CEP Forensic’s Ottawa office, where he spent two years as a senior forensic engineer and non-destructive testing (NDT) specialist.  Before that he was a project and quality control manager at Power Precast Solutions, a concrete material and NDT specialist at Giatec Scientific, and a technical consulting and quality control manager at National East Ready Mix Corp.

Earlier in his career, Shahroodi was a structural engineer at Rah Sazeh Pol Consulting Engineers in Tehran.EFI Global adds Ahmad Shahroodi as senior forensic engineerHe holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Ottawa, a master of applied science from the University of Toronto, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Islamic Azad University in Iran.

The firm earlier this year welcomed Ben Ezenta as a forensic structural engineer based in Calgary.
