Frank Recruitment Group expands to Toronto
Frank Recruitment Group, a UK-based global IT staffing consultancy, has launched its first Canadian office in Toronto.
Attracted by the burgeoning tech scene in Canada’s largest city, the Newcastle, UK-based headquartered firm will further expand its presence in North America. The firm has 21 other offices across the US, Western Europe, Singapore, Japan, and Australia.
Frank Recruitment specializes in permanent and contract recruitment for high-demand roles in cloud technology. The firm has seven brands that focus on their respective cloud platforms.
The Toronto office, located at 70 The Esplanade, will initially house the Nigel Frank and Mason Frank brands, which recruit specialists for Microsoft Azure/Dynamics and Salesforce, respectively. The Toronto office will create 14 new jobs at Frank Recruitment, which has over 1,900 employees globally. The office will open October 1, 2021.“By bringing our expertise and knowledge to clients and partners in a city where IT professionals are already in demand, and where the market is thriving, we hope to be able to prove our world-leading cloud recruitment status and help many businesses go the extra mile – particularly where the pandemic might otherwise have set them back,” said Matt Woodford, VP of talent acquisition, who will oversee the Toronto location.
With digitalization accelerated by the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic, cloud talent in particular has seen increased demand for an already shallow pool of resources.
IDC predicts that 30% of high-demand roles for emerging technologies will remain unfilled through 2022, while Gartner expects revenue in the public cloud service market to grow 56% between 2019 and 2022.
Frank Recruitment draws on a database of 900,000 niche technology specialists with experience in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and government.
The company is part of IT staffing firm Tenth Revolution Group and is backed by private equity firm TPG Capital.
In related news, Test Driven Solutions – a much smaller IT recruitment consultancy from Newcastle – last week announced its expansion into Canada with a new office in Calgary.
