OSF Digital, a Quebec-based cloud consultancy specializing in e-commerce, has acquired Relation1, a Toronto-based firm providing Salesforce marketing cloud services.

Founded in 2000, Relation1 helps clients with their end-to-end Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) platform journey, from strategy and planning through to architecture design, migration and implementation, data analysis and reporting, and managed marketing services.

The firm has more than 30 professionals across offices in Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City, and has worked with clients such as Home Hardware, Aeroplan, and Canada Goose.

“Relation1’s Marketing Cloud proficiency, experience, and relationships with leading brands complement our goals and offerings, which help B2B and B2C companies launch or enhance their digital strategies. With this acquisition, we’ve advanced our Marketing Cloud capabilities and, as a result, strengthened our position as a leading digital transformation partner,” said Gerard Szatvanyi, CEO of OSF Digital.

OSF Digital’s purchase of Relation1 will further expand the firm’s Salesforce consulting capabilities. The deal, for which financial terms were not disclosed, is OSF’s third acquisition since the firm received $43 million in new funding last month. The funding was led by existing investors Delta-v Capital and Salesforce Ventures.

OSF in May bought Adept, a New Zealand-based Salesforce consulting firm, and this month bought Werise, a Brazil-based Salesforce consulting firm, as part of a global effort to expand the firm’s geographic footprint.

Founded in 2003, OSF provides services and solutions in connected commerce, online shop management, cloud application development, and enterprise CRM, CMS, and OMS. The firm works with the Salesforce and Magento platforms, among others. OSF’s client roster includes major companies such as L’Oreal Canada, Ubisoft, and Brooks Running.

The pandemic has accelerated demand for e-commerce consulting services, as businesses have been forced to pivot to online sales and delivery (also, consequently, boosting demand for warehousing, logistics, and transportation services).

With hot demand for its services, it was easy for OSF to attract additional funding to further scale up the company, which currently has more than 1,000 people across offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
