EFI Global adds Ben Ezenta to forensic engineering team in Calgary
EFI Global, a Tampa, FL-headquartered forensic engineering and specialty consulting firm, has hired Ben Ezenta as a forensic structural engineer.
Based in Calgary, Ezenta will add structural engineering services to the firm’s offerings in Western Canada. He will work closely with Michael Bodnar, VP of forensic engineering for Western Canada at EFI Global.
Ezenta brings more than 25 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure, project and construction management, and project and controls supervision in the oil and gas sector. He has deep expertise in civil and structural design, project management, and site inspection, review, and supervision.
Ezenta was previously a senior engineer at MBC Group, a Calgary-based civil engineering firm delivering appraisal, environmental, and forensic lab services. Before that, he was a project manager at engineering firm URS (now Aecom), where he focused on client projects in the Albertan oil patch. Ezenta was also previously a safety codes officer with the City of Calgary.
He holds master’s degrees in business administration and civil engineering, as well as professional engineer and project management professional designations.
“We are excited to have Ben as a member of our growing structural engineering team,” said Kevin Burgher, vice president of EFI Global in Canada. “Ben’s background and wealth of experience will bring great value to our project work and service delivery for our clients.”
