Kinaxis, an Ottawa-based supply chain software and consulting firm, has partnered with Spinnaker, a Houston-based provider of supply chain consulting services.

The partnership will combine the Kinaxis RapidResponse cloud platform with Spinnaker’s supply chain knowledge, industry expertise, and experienced consultants.

Though Kinaxis provides its own professional services support, the firm also partners with consulting firms such as Deloitte and Accenture to help clients in a range of industries transform their supply chain processes.

Spinnaker has been in business since 2002 and has more than 250 professionals in six US offices. The firm offers supply chain-centered services in strategy, business process reengineering, data governance, and change management – working across verticals such as high-tech, industrial, life sciences, and retail. Its other technology partners include SAP, Llamasoft, and Blue Yonder.

"Spinnaker provides a full range of supply chain knowledge to make each customer's experience with RapidResponse a success from start to finish," said Stefan Achilles, VP at Spinnaker. "Our continued success as a supply chain-focused boutique consulting firm is based on our ability to achieve results. Kinaxis is a leader in supply chain planning and we are excited to partner to help clients find the real issues, solve the tough problems, and deliver supply chain excellence."

Spinnaker will leverage a team of certified RapidRepsonse implementation consultants with more than 10 years of experience, according to a release from Kinaxis.

John Sicard, CEO of Kinaxis, said, "This partnership further provides our customers with the expert knowledge and proven technology needed to better manage their integrated business and supply chain planning, enable confident decision-making, and be equipped to respond to change faster."

Kinaxis bills its RapidResponse SaaS platform as the world’s only concurrent planning platform, enabling instant “what-if” simulations and end-to-end collaboration. “The result is unmatched agility, speed, and efficiency for integrated supply chain planning,” says the firm’s website. RapidResponse can also be used in concert with the popular SAP ERP platform.
