Digital consultancy Appnovation named a Great Place to Work
Appnovation, a Vancouver-based digital consulting firm, has been certified a Great Place to Work through independent analysis from Great Place to Work Institute Canada.
The certification is tied to feedback from employees who complete anonymous surveys on their experience in the workplace.
According to the survey, Appnovation received high rankings in camaraderie, credibility, pride, and performance. Eighty-nine percent of surveyed employees said they felt pride in their work, 97% said that Appnovation had a friendly working environment, and 87% said they believe they make a difference in their workplace.
“Appnovation has seen an incredible amount of growth in the past six to 12 months and we know a huge amount of our success can be attributed to our people and our culture,” said Scott Wassmer, general manager of the Americas at Appnovation. “The fact that 86% of employees would recommend Appnovation as a great place to work means we are on the right track.”
The consulting firm offers a robust benefits package which includes competitive healthcare benefits for full-time workers; a group retirement plan with company contributions; an annual fitness allowance for activities, equipment, and programs; and development and learning opportunities through courses on LinkedIn Learning.
Founded in 2007, Appnovation is a full-service digital consultancy with offerings in digital strategy, user experience & design, development & engineering, data analytics & insights, corporate agility, and managed services. The firm has more than 350 global employees across 15 offices in North America, Europe, and Hong Kong. Appnovation has approximately 150 team members in Canada, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Saint John.
The private firm last year received $15 million in equity financing from the Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF) and UK-based Business Growth Fund (BGF) – private equity funds created by leading financial institutions in Canada and the UK.
Earlier this year, the company developed a solution to help prevent cross-contamination between healthcare facilities in BC.
