Envista Forensics adds Kirsten Hoedlmoser as technical lead
Envista Forensics, a global forensic engineering and consulting firm, has added Kirsten Hoedlmoser as technical lead, environmental & industrial hygiene group. She will be based in the company’s Toronto office.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Envista has been supporting insurance companies and legal professionals for more than 30 years. Its core forensic engineering offering analyzes disasters, accidents, and product failures – answering questions around cause, responsibility, and how to prevent re-occurrence. The firm’s other services include cyber incident response, equipment loss consulting, and expert witness and litigation support.
Envista has over 30 offices across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. It has Canadian offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary.
Kirsten Hoedlmoser brings depth of experience in environmental engineering and consulting to her new role at Envista. A licensed chemical engineer and certified industrial hygienist, Hoedlmoser will support Envista’s clients with scientific and practical findings in cases involving fire residue, mould, asbestos, lead, and other chemical and biological contaminants.
She previously spent four years at Intertek, a scientific and regulatory services firm, where she was a manager in the environmental, health and safety (EHS) consulting services practice. Her role included management of hazardous materials and EHS concerns in indoor and outdoor environments, developing site safety and emergency management plans, and assessing workplace exposure.
Prior to that, Hoedlmoser spent four years at Griffin Koerth (now 30 Forensics), a multidisciplinary forensics firm, where she was an intermediate associate in the EHS group. Earlier in her career, she was an environmental engineering specialist at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, dealing with environmental monitoring, spill response, and environmental compliance.
Hoedlmoser holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
“We are very excited to have Kirsten join our team. She is extremely passionate about being able to bring clarity and sense to environmental matters that the insurance industry is often challenged to deal with in a practical yet scientifically valid fashion. Not only that, Kirsten has established that reputation over the past 7 years working with many of the most respected insurance and legal professionals in the industry,” said Ron Koerth, SVP for Envista Canada.
