Oliver Wyman promotes Matthew Poitras to partner
Management consultancy Oliver Wyman has appointed Matthew Poitras as a partner in its Montreal office. Poitras specializes in advising clients in the aerospace and aviation sector, and has more than 11 years of consulting and industry experience.
Poitras was the sole Canadian entry among the firm’s new partner promotions effective January 1, 2020, which included 10 in the United States and a total of 36 globally.

Poitras has deep expertise advising clients in the aerospace manufacturing, airline, and aviation maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) industries. He supports clients with advice on strategy and operations, investment due diligence, business and financial planning, transformation, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing. He has worked with companies in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
He started his career as a consultant at Oliver Wyman in 2008, spending over two years with company and working at its Chicago and Dubai offices. He went on to serve as a special projects manager for just under two years at CHC Helicopter, a large helicopter services firm which provided transport to offshore oil platforms, search and rescue, medical evacuation, and MRO services.
Poitras rejoined Oliver Wyman in 2012 as a senior associate, and was then promoted to principal in 2015.
He holds a BBA in finance and economics from Bishop’s University.
