FTI Consulting promotes three to senior managing director in Canada
Global advisory firm FTI Consulting announced the promotion of 34 professionals to senior managing director across its global offices, including three in Canada and 16 in the United States.

In Canada, Robert Poole, Devi Rajani, and Dustin Olver were elevated to the level of senior managing director at the Washington, DC–headquartered firm, which specializes in restructuring, economic, forensic and litigation, communications, and technology consulting.
Robert Poole (Forensic and Litigation Consulting, Toronto) has more than 30 years of professional experience, and leads the firm’s construction solutions practice, which he founded in 2015 when he joined FTI’s Toronto office. Poole helps owners and contractors deliver successful capital projects and analyze, develop, and resolve claims and disputes.
He has extensive experience delivering expert witness, claims advisory, cost consultancy, risk management, and project management services. Poole’s claims and expert witness work has spanned a wide range of project types, including buildings, infrastructure, power plants, and shipbuilding.
Prior to joining FTI in 2015, Poole was a director at real estate services and software firm Altus, where he headed the London cost office – leading a team which delivered estimating, project management, and dispute resolution services.
Poole holds a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying from Sheffield University, and is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Canadian Professional Quantity Surveyor.
Devi Rajani (Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Toronto) has over 15 years of advisory experience, with a specialization in debt restructurings in Latin America. She has expertise across due diligence, business plan review, receivership, Chapter 11 preparation, and capital structure modeling, among other areas.
Rajani has supported companies in a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining, oil, financial services, and hospitality. She has worked on Latin American restructurings totaling over US$75 billion.
Rajani joined FTI in 2008 as a director, before being promoted to managing director in 2013. She previously spent four years at PwC, where she focused on forensic investigations and business reviews in the Latin American restructuring group.
She holds a bachelor of commerce from Queen’s University, and is also a chartered professional accountant and a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor.
Dustin Olver (Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Calgary) has over 15 years of experience, and focuses on corporate restructuring and advisory to diversified public oilfield services and trucking/logistics companies.
His previous engagements include working on the chief restructuring officer engagement of Tuscany International Drilling, a contract oil and gas driller in Latin America and Africa, and acting as court appointed receiver for Pacer Promec Energy Corporation, an oilfield services construction firm focused on the Horizon oil sands.
Olver has also acted as a financial advisor to banks and noteholders with large positions in publicly traded distressed oil and gas firms.
Prior to joining FTI in 2012, Olver spent five years at EY, where he was a manager in the consultancy’s transaction advisory services practice.
Olver holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, and also holds a chartered accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
