Charles River Associates adds cybersecurity expert Aniket Bhardwaj
Charles River Associates, a Boston-headquartered economic, financial, and management consulting firm, has hired Aniket Bhardwaj as a vice president in its forensic services practice in Toronto.
Bhardwaj brings more than a decade of experience in threat detection, incident response, and threat intelligence to his new role at CRA, where he will help clients across a range of industries manage and respond to cyber threats.
“We are pleased to welcome Aniket Bhardwaj to the firm,” said Paul Maleh, CRA’s President and CEO. “Aniket will greatly enhance CRA’s forensic services presence and client offerings in our Toronto office.”
CRA’s wider forensic services practice advises clients on fraud investigations and financial forensics in complex litigation and internal investigations. The cybersecurity and incident response unit helps clients respond to and recover from digital breaches, leveraging a team of information security and computer forensic experts, incident responders, and former military and law enforcement officers.
Bill Hardin, vice president, added, “I look forward to seeing the strong contributions Aniket will provide to our cyber security team within Canada with his proven ability to skillfully guide clients through incident response cases.”
Bhardwaj joins CRA from PwC’s Toronto office, where he most recently served as senior director and head of cyber threat detection & response at PwC Canada. He spent over five years at PwC, also serving as a senior manager of cyber threat detection & response in the consulting firm's New York office, and as a senior consultant on attack & penetration in PwC’s Philadelphia office.
Bhardwaj also spent four years at Comcast, where he was a threat intelligence and incident responder. Earlier in his career, he was an enterprise forensics engineer at The Johns Hopkins University, a network security engineer at Global Career Infotech in India, and a secure application developer for the Indian government.
He holds an MS in security informatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Kurukshetra University, and is currently completing an MA in international affairs (espionage and surveillance) from King’s College, London.
“Aniket’s deep technical expertise will strengthen our team’s ability to assist clients who are both proactively managing and reactively responding to significant cyber and privacy risks,” Kris Swanson, vice president and leader of the forensic services practice, said.
