Cylad Consulting expands into Canada with Montreal office
Paris-based management consultancy Cylad Consulting has expanded into Canada (and North America) with the opening of a new Montreal office. The firm has brought in former AlixPartners director Alexandre van den Berg to lead the Canadian office.
Van den Berg joins Cylad as a partner and will be tasked with heading up the Canadian office and building the France-based firm’s presence in North America. He joins from consultancy AlixPartners, where he was a director in the Paris office and focused on the aeronautics sector, delivering strategic, engineering, operational change, and cost reduction projects for clients such as Airbus.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, van den Berg spent more than three years at HSBC, working in the area of investment funds. He started his career at Air France, where he focused on yield management. He holds a master’s degree in entrepreneurship from Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris.

The arrival of Alexandre will enable us to reinforce our positioning as a major player in these sectors and also to expand into new markets on the other side of the Atlantic,” Sébastien Chaussoy, CEO and founder of Cylad, said.
The consulting firm announced that the Montreal office has already signed its first projects in the aeronautics market. Cylad provides strategy, operations, and organization & business transformation services to industrial firms, particularly in aerospace & defense, pharma & healthcare, energy, electronics, and transportation.
Olivier Paget, partner in the Paris office, added, “[Alexandre’s] arrival is indicative of the appeal and momentum of our firm, which is experiencing significant growth.”
Cylad had double-digit growth in 2018, and has a revenue target of €25 million by mid-2020. Founded in 2007, the firm has grown to 100 employees and 10 partners, with European offices in Paris, Toulouse, Hamburg, Baar-Zug (Switzerland). Last year, the firm expanded into Australia with a Melbourne office.
