Toronto-based RLM Consulting enhances services

RLM Consulting, a strategy and operations consultancy based in Toronto, has announced plans to “strengthen its strategy planning and development service areas,” according to a release from the firm.

“We are very committed to our clients and the organizations that we serve,” Rob Morton, principal of RLM Consulting, said. “With strong experience in the financial services industry, we are pleased to be in a position to assist these organizations with their business goals.”

Morton founded the firm in 2018, bringing more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry to the new consultancy.

RLM delivers consulting services in strategy planning and development, organizational effectiveness, performance improvement, and cost reduction. The firm also provides advisory services in new product development and market analysis, change management, transformation, and governance.

The consulting firm serves clients in the financial services, retail technology, and not-for-profit sectors, among others. 

Before founding RLM, Morton spent three years at Home Capital Group, where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer. While at the credit and mortgage lending firm, Morton was responsible for all aspects of financial support, treasury, strategic and capital planning, procurement, and investor relations for Home Capital and Home Trust. 

Prior to that Morton spent 21 years at State Street Bank, eventually rising to the level of senior vice president and CFO at State Street Canada, as well as principal officer of State Street Bank and Trust Company, Canada Branch. 

Morton started his career at Silcorp, the parent company of Mac’s Convenience Stores, where he was a manager in corporate finance. He holds a bachelor of economics from the University of Waterloo, and is a certified management accountant and Canadian professional accountant.
